Hello. I live in Romania, and I take acting and diction classes, but I'm not very sure that in this way I can somehow become a famous actress. This is my dream for years, and when I'm eighteen I want to go to America so I can become one. Is this possible for me? And I want to ask, did famous actors and actresses like Christina Milian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Katherine Heigl and others go to the Screen Actors Guild? Can I be lucky? Please respond soon, thanks.

When you come to America you should find/make some friends and put on small plays just so you can begin somewhere. You should have someone film you acting so producers will see how good you are. You should also go to an art school for more practice. I hope I helped you and I hope you become a really talented actress.

I think that if you put more emphasis on being a GOOD actress, rather than a FAMOUS actress, you'll stand a better chance of success. There are thousands and thousands of young people who want to be celebrities but don't understand that there's more to it than good looks, luck and the desire. You have to be willing to work hard at learning the craft of acting and give up much of your personal life in the process. I should also point out that the Screen Actors Guild is not a school - it's a labor union for people in the motion picture business. You don't "go" there; you meet membership requirements and pay dues in order to receive union benefits. Pretty much any actor who speaks lines in a movie is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
