To be exact...boring. It is a very old fashioned country.... the people are friendly yes, but strange. Vlad the Impailers castle is still there and people are still superstitious about it.

If you mean "boring" like 90% of our women don't run the street half naked like in your sick society then yes, it is boring. The people are just great and Deva is in Transylvania. As long as you're not a club party person you will like it. If not, there is also Bucharest. My home town was the European capital of Culture in 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sibiu http://www.turism.sibiu.ro/index_en.php http://photos.igougo.com/pictures-l1066-Transylvania_photos.html PS: Stay away from gypsies. They're not human, they're parasites.

Romania is a superb country with an infrastructure that can be improved a lot (unfortunately). We are part of the European Union since 2007 - don't worry about electric power or running potable water. Here you can find a lot of history and art, interesting traditions, rich folklore, delicious food and tasty wines. Speaking of food, I am sure you will like the most famous dish in Romania, called "sarmale" - meat-balls rolled in cabbage leaves, boiled in tomato juice with spices, served with hot polenta and a lot of sour-cream. And this is only one recipe! We have many-many! In Deva (pronounced: "deh- vaah") you will be surrounded by the mountains, not very high - and a lot of forests... It's a quiet place, located in the heart of our old country, named Dacia. Dacia was conquered by the romans, and this is how we, the modern Romanian speak a language so similar to Italian, French, Spanish, .... People are friendly there, like all over Romania - ready to hear stories, ready to share from their own experience. We like to meet other people, we like to make parties, we like to dance and to listen good music! Many people speak English - we learn in school foreign languages. In Romania, people are mainly Christians - more than 90%. Orthodox - the majority, but also a lot of catholics, especially in Transylvania -, but you can find here other believers as well: Muslims, Jews... we live in good peace with them too. You can travel easily from Deva and I recommend you to visit Sighisoara (pronounced: "see - gui - shwoa - rah"), Sibiu ("See- bew"), Brasov ("Bra-shov"), Cluj ("kloodje"- in one syllable). Near Brasov, at approx. 30 min you can see the famous Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle, in Sighisoara was his father's house - but don't worry: vampires are just a part of our rich folklore I was speaking about. If you will come here, let me wish you "welcome" and I hope your stay here will be filled with many happy moments!
