I am 13 years old ,i am really confused i do not know what to choose .Should i follow my dreams of being an actress or go to university ? i live in Romania and i want to go to the US either to be an actress or to go at university .Can i do both ?

Yes, you can do both. You can study acting at a University. I would also consider something else you enjoy studying, since acting can be difficult to make a career of. Best of luck to you!

You can definitely do both! Going to college is always a good idea no matter what career choice you want, and in acting you may need a backup career anyway just in case it doesn't work out for you

Yes, you can do both. Gaining experience of life, getting the qualifications for a good job - this will come in really useful for anyone in the acting world. Many actors start off after graduating, and it's easier to get into a good drama school then. While you're at uni you can join their drama club and get loads of experience, which is excellent training. In the meantime, read lots of plays and books, practise learning lines, and if possible, learn to sing and dance. These are really useful as extras - the more things you can do, the better. You sound like you have a good plan - use your brains, because you'll need a second job when you're an actor, just to pay the bills. Most actors get paid so little, and get acting jobs so rarely that you'll need another source of income! Good luck! xx

You should Act A university is alot of Money. Plus being an Actor/Actress is Awesome!! Definantly do acting Follow these steps first start by taking acting classes then audition for a play, a school play is probably the first one you should try then once you did about 4 or 5. Audition for Community Plays Bring your Resume. which includes your Information and your past experiences Hire an Agent. This is kind of hard but once you have a certain amount of Plays done then agents will try to contact other theatres so you can audition for them. your Agents will call Probably Professional Plays (like the ones in Broadway), Commercials, or Low Budget Movies Once you get that done. Move to L.A, Hire an Agent there. (its kind of tough) but if you're good, then it would be easy. In L.A your Agent will book you to Auditions for T.V shows,Movies,etc.. You have to be good in order to make it in the film or theatre world. I stopped acting because i decided to become a director/writer. This probably won't work, but I would advise that you not pursue it. The odds of your dream coming true are extremely low. I'm sorry. Take a look at how many actors are in the Screen Actors Guild. (The acting union which is hard to get in to.) It's over 100,000, maybe 200,000 by now. Then look at how many roles there were for actresses last year. I'd get my education and then do community theater and work your way up if you'd like after that. Believe it or not, I'm trying to help you.
