Living in Romania with US citizenship for two years, work visa

Living in Romania with US citizenship for two years, work visa?
I would like to live in Romania for two years while working as an English teacher there (yes, I know the pay sucks). What would be the easiest way to live there? It looks like I need to obtain a work visa. How do I do that? I have an up to date US passport and nothing legal to prevent my leaving my country or entering the Romanian border. A tourist visa would last only 90 days, and I would not be there as a tourist anyway. I only see guidelines for obtaining tourist or business visas on official sites.

I don't know but if you come, work in Sibiu city. You'll love it and you'll never wanna leave.

I think you can ask at the embassy for exact details about the way you can work in Romania, and the necessary documents.
